“Look, we keep being told—by pundits, pollsters, and a panoply of prognosticators—that the Republicans are absolutely doomed in November, that Trump is the lamest of ducks, that it’s all over, and that instead of voting, we should just stay at home in our double-wides being transphobes and hating The Odyssey because it has black people. And if you look at history—and we do look at history, because we know history didn’t begin in 1619—Republicans do have a problem. It’s a midterm election with a second-term president, or a third-term president, depending on whether you believe Joe Biden got 80 zillion votes in 2020, and the party in power typically gets its butt handed to it. The polls are all over the place, assessing the Republicans’ chances from “meh” to Nagasaki. The Senate GOP is busy putting the “nothing” in “do-nothing,” but there’s one shining glimmer of hope out there that the GOP may be able to pull victory from the jaws of defeat.
And that’s the Democrats themselves.”

“The proliferation of promiscuous tipping is indicative of a bunch of the problems currently at play in America. What is promiscuous tipping? Pretty much anything except giving a cabbie or a waitress 15 percent on top of the bill for decent service. Or throwing a few bucks to a bellboy when he brings up your bags. Or an extra $20 when the delivery guys who aren’t supposed to carry things upstairs help you out by carrying your furniture or whatever up the stairs. Look, tipping is a good thing when used properly. It rewards good service. It provides an incentive for quality. And it’s also a way to help somebody who’s working hard. So, I’m not against tipping — not at all. I’m against tipping abuse…”

“Everybody who wants to gobble popcorn while watching exciting POTUS primary races in 2028 is going to be disappointed, at least in terms of the final outcome. We know how this story ends, but what leads up to it may be hilarious, particularly on the Democrat side. Every weirdo, loser, and mutation in their party intends to try to get the nod, knowing that the fix is already in; it’s just going to be a chance for folks like Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) and Pete Buttigieg to try to raise their profiles or maybe get picked to be VP. Neither of those two will. But right now, it’s obvious who is going to go head-to-head against each other in the general election. You can deny it, you can argue it, you can cope all you want, but barring some unforeseen turn of events, we know how this is going to play out.”
